O ator James Franco é garoto propaganda da Gucci masculina, e já veio ao país para promover a abertura de uma loja da marca em São Paulo. Querinho de Frida Giannini, diretor criativa da marca, Franco é o produtor do documentário fashion “The Director”, que mostra todos os bastidores de uma das labels italianas mais poderosas do mundo – da escolha tecidos e estampas até o desfile em Milão. O lançamento acontece esta semana no TriBeCa Film Festival, que acontece em Nova York até o fim do mês.

Dirigido por Christina Voros, o documentário foi gravado durante 18 meses, e há cenas em quem Frida ensina o modelo a desfilar, e outro mais severo, quando começa a selecionar o que entra e o que sai da coleção. Tudo sob o olhar de Franco, que conseguiu captar a essência e o frescor da Gucci. Abaixo está o trailer de dois minutos, que por enquanto já dá aquele gostinho na boca, já que o lançamento oficial deve acontecer só no segundo semestre de 2013.

Backstage

The actor James Franco is the new face for men’s Gucci, and he has been here in Brazil to promote the opening of a store in Sao Paulo. Frida Giannini’s sweetheart, the brand’s creative director, Franco is the producer of the fashion documentary “The Director”, that shows the backstage of one of the most powerful italian labels on the world – from the choice of fabric till the prints and fashion shows in Milan. The release happens this week at the TriBeCa Film Festival, that happens in NY at the ned of the month. 

Directed by Christina Voros, the documentary was tapped during 18 months, and there are shots in which Frida teaches the models how to walk the runway, and other quite severe, where she selects what goes in and out of the collection. Everything behind Franco’s eyes, that managed to catch the essence and freshness of Gucci. Below is the two minute trailer, that for now gives that sneak peak, until the official release that should only happen on the second semester of 2013.
